About The picture on my blog header, it was taken at the Rose Parade. 2007 I list that experience as one of the greatest of my life. I stayed up all night with my son Zachary. I put him in his wheel chair, pushed him three blocks to Colorado street Just in time to get a flyby by three stealth bombers. Each of us struggeling to hang on to our light saber. Mine was blue and his was the dual sided red one, representing each of our generations version of Star Wars.
The live band and I mean entire marching band playing the theme to Star Wars. With wave after wave of Storm Troupers and Imperial Gaurds marching past us. Every sense in the body was feeling it!
My first eight dates were the eight times I saw Star Wars with my “boyfriend” ( just a little hand holding and a parent a few rows behind us!) This experience was a far reaching tugg on the heart strings. I was completely amazed at what I saw watching the first Star Wars Movie. I didn’t think I would ever feel that way again. But I did! I just as taken into another world, another time, all the while holding a little boys hand all these years later.
About me, I should say “about us.” We squeeze in life and fun whenever we can. I am a mom of a son with many special needs. Zach’s medical journey I am learning to do it while keeping something “about me” happening. My mom blog
I know that there is some salty air out there for me to breathe and some fine wine to drink.
I paint to avoid putting certain feelings into words. It’s not always a pretty picture but I always feel better after doing it.
Because of my circumstances I am thrown into the internet culture. I suppose that was meant to be.
I starting to put that to some good use. I created a social network for families dealing with autism, mitochondrial disorders. Mutant Families I hope it will be informitive, it’s colaborated on our genetics clinic. I also need it to be fun! It’s just getting up and running but you can still join.
